The Glass House Resource Center began as the Alphabet Army youth group, organized by Tyler Area Gays (TAG+). The group was created to meet the community’s need for safe and affirming spaces for LGBTQIA2S+ youths in East Texas. In 2024, Alphabet Army expanded into The Glass House Resource Center that we have today.
At The Glass House Resource Center, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive community for individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions.
Please reach us at info@glasshousetyler.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We offer a few different resources. We have a quarterly clothing closet day, food pantry, technology lab, meeting room, different monthly classes, and host several different support groups.
We are always accepting applications for volunteers. All of our volunteers go through a background check before they are approved. Applications and Consent for Background checks are done in person at the office. All volunteer applicants are subjected to board approval.
We love opportunities to serve our community, so feel free to reach out, join us as a volunteer, or give us a visit during office hours.
